directed at the ground
bounce and rebound
spinning myself in a new direction
im better on this new path
but spinning around that fast has hurt my neck
and the demons still give chase
but I can out run them
and I will
the shrill creaking screams but a memory
and what I find is self respect
someone once asked me
if I could polish there silver
in a dry creek bed
so I asked them
why would I want to
but I did it anyway
nevermore
shall I be someone’s whore
only my own
so your silver may tarnish
but that’s not my problem
and the dry creek bed
is over run with water
drink my friend
but know that its mine
taste
